As a junior modelmaker on George Clooney’s “The Monuments Men,” I assisted Leigh Took’s experienced team of model makers with the building of miniature bombed buildings. My main job was carving and painting about ninety bombed buildings made out of insulation foam. On the shoot, these were arranged to resemble a city after a blitz and filmed for use in matte paintings.
